This is a wonderful film scanner for home movies. You have exposure control and framing control, but no color control. Luckily the default color setting seems very balanced. I do wish that the image capture size was a full 1920x1080, instead of 1440x1080. I like to zoom out to scan the full image frame; however that leaves me with partial frames above and below showing. After I take my clips into After Effects to crop, I'm left with a final size of 1440x950. I convert my frame rate to 16fps while I'm doing my cropping. The only other issue is if your film has any crimping. The film guide when closed is so tight that crimped film won't pass through easily. Because of that I had to start several films further in than I hoped.These are minor criticisms for what has been a great purchase. My family is so happy to see films we haven't watched in 35 years.
