I shopped around for several months trying to decide what scanner to get and finally decided on this one. Very impressed with it so far. I've done probably 2 dozen 3' reels and several 7' reels so far of both 8mm and super8 film and it has performed great. Some of these harken back to as early as 1958! Only hiccups I've had are when there is a poorly done splice or the reel is brittle and has broken where the little holes are that it uses to pull the film through. Rewinding isn't that bad imo, just takes a little while on the larger reels. Well worth the money to see your grandparents acting silly when they were your age!
