Do not buy the blue LED version! The display is nearly impossible to read with the room lights on. I have the display on the brightest possible setting, but I have to get within six feet of the clock to read the skinny numerals because the blue has very poor contrast with the black background. If I put a different clock alongside this one, a clock with wider numerals and red LEDs, then I can easily read the other clock from 20 feet away even though the numerals are a little smaller. There's much to like about this clock, but the display is a deal-breaker. I wish I had bought the white LED version., but it's not really worth returning this one. I think the white display might be more readable due to better contrast, but it probably still has the skinny numerals.
