Plug it in. Correct time; ideal display; projection is excellent; buttons are readable.The only thing I had to look up was converting to Fahrenheit with the indoor temperature.This feature is great for me when my wife complains about the temperature. I point to the thermometer.This is a great clock and I haven't even tried the radio yet.Battery backup is a plus.
