Does the time set itself?
The EAAC601 ships with a pre-set time which can be adjusted to your timezone.
If the power goes out will my alarms still go off?
Yes! The backup battery in the EAAC601 saves your settings and alarms so you can rest easy knowing that if your power goes out at night, you will still wake up on time!
Can I play music through my phone for an alarm?
While the clock does feature an AUX input, this is only for regular playback.

Only lasted a few years 0 people found this helpfulI thought it was a neat little clock when I bought it, but it only worked for a few years. I expect 10 years out of anything I buy. This one's going to the landfill, and I'm going back to my 20-year-old Sony Dream Machine.

Why 2 stars with more for many of the features? 0 people found this helpfulI'd been looking for a clock to have beside my bed that I could use without the bright display, so when this one was highly recommended on a review of the "top 12 alarm clocks," I ordered it. Sadly, there is one point that I wasn't aware of-if you want to show the time on the ceiling or wall, the clock must be facing AWAY from you. That means all the buttons and the nighttime dim clock face are not an option. No matter where I moved the clock, trying to get the ceiling time showing correctly (instead of reversed), the only solution was to put the clock across the room, so that it could be facing me. Obviously, that meant that the buttons were WAY out of reach.
